Haitham Ahmed, MD Cardiology Dr. Haitham Ahmed is Chair of Cardiology at AdvantageCare Physicians. He completed his medical degree at Dartmouth Medical School, and his graduate public health degree at Harvard University. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Ahmed has over 50 peer-reviewed publications in journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Medical Association Network Journals, The Lancet Infectious Diseases, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Journal of the American Heart Association, European Heart Journal, Circulation, and others. He has given national and international talks on preventive cardiology, coronary artery calcium, blood pressure control, diabetes management, lipid management, and obesity. Dr. Ahmed is a fellow of the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology.
