ResponsibilitiesThis position providestechnical supportto assigned Boards and Division administration as assigned by the supervisor. Those services include receiving, reviewing, and processing applications; providing licensure information; issuing permits, licenses and certifications; preparing and maintaining files.
Process Applications and Forms
Enter data from application and request forms into the licensing database
Process application funds
Issue licenses
Update individual licensee records
Correspond with applicants regarding needed information
Print and send licenses, license verifications, certificates
Research, analyze and resolve complex problems in licensure processes
Process audit information and provide audit follow-up
Provide Customer Service to External Customers
Act as content expert for Boards served, and respond to questions from applicants and licensees
Conduct in-depth interviews to discern visitor or caller requests or needs
Respond to inquiries including explaining and clarifying the laws and rules of board(s) served and outlining policies and procedures in a clear, concise manner
Provide technical assistance for the Division’s online services in person and on the phone
Deal with individuals from varying cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, sometimes in stressful situations
Provide specialized information pertaining to board programs and services
General Office Responsibilities
Review website, applications, letters and licensing database to identify errors and needed updates
Monitor email
Scan documents
Other duties as assigned
ExperienceMinimum Qualifications:
Monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors Interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, regulations, and complex policies for multiple or highly specialized programs
Analyzing information and researching a variety of sources to identify and resolve problems or issues
Dealing with individuals from varying cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in stressful situations Entering and retrieving data using a computerized record system
Composing and proofreading business correspondence
Preferred QualificationsExperience working with Boards or Commissions
