je Monday March 221982 Bremerton Sun Marine Embellishes Running Reputation By Dan Weaver Sports Editor The Sun Dr George Sheehan among other things is a cardiologist from Red Bank NJ Saturday he was a runner in Bremerton one of 364 who finished the inaugural 10 kilometer Bremerton Bridge Classic that started and finished at Olympic College The featured speaker at a fair after the race Sheehan was imminently qualified to judge the course a man said Sheehan who at 63 finished 53rd in 41:06 The good doctor and everybody else trailed Randy Hoyles the 20 year old Bangor marine who has domi nated the Kitsap running scene the past three years Hoyles of Ogilvie Minn has won two straight Bremerton Street Runs the first time almost walked on a hill in Sheehan said just thought on that hill that anybody who runs this has won this whole thing It really makes no difference what anybody else is doing just you and the hill If you lick that hill won the Hoyles agreed The hill (on Sheridan Road) was tough but not even that stood in his way Did you walk part of it? he was asked replied the corporal who plans to leave the corps in July after a stint with the marine track team in Quantico Va He playoff positions turns serious Williams who often disappears in the fourth quarter scored nine in the final quarter when the Sonics made their run just enjoy the challenge of facing DJ (Phoenix guard
